No Thanks Forum Links

Would it be possible to add Forum Links to the discuss area or forum link type. Aka Rather than a forum being a forum you add to discussion area its a link to an external site aka like the notes in regular forum where you can make a link forum?

And or it possible to choose the order of what shows up on the first page for side bar content when you login to a group.

Overall sweet system so far.

Similar to note link forums but in the Discussion section in groups rather than creating a forum create a link forum. with in the groups discussion area

So why not create an custom field allow group fill their URL?

Does the custom field allow for the url to be clicked, cause when I tried to use custom field with URL setting it showed the URL but wasn't able to click the link. It also doesn't let you assign a title and description to the link. hence my question. For adding a forum link node to the discussion section ..

The custom field has support custom template render. You may looking into it
