Request group takeover

Another reason why this is so important to have: when importing from vbulletin groups or any other groups addon all groups have only 1 admin and 80% of the admins are gone. So 80% of the groups are dead until someone can take over the group.

Please consider to add this. It would help to bring a lot of groups back to life. :)
 
Good suggestion.
Hope to see it in next updates. But with one more options: When someone submit the takeover request, an alert + an email also be sent to the current group owner to let him know that someone is going to takeover his group. (to let him back to be active or not. If not within 24 hours, then moderators will act as they prefer. Accept or deny)
 
My members are requesting this feature.
It can also work in a different way:

Under Membership settings add 'Request staff position'
Add a usergroup permission 'can promote to group staff'
Users that have 'can promote to group staff ' permission and are member of the group will be able to give the user a staff member role in the group.
Website staff with this permission will also be able to give the user a staff member role in the group.
