i know there is already a feature to show the forums as the default page when you click on a group, but take a look at what ips just introduced...
so how about selecting per group what the default page is? i don't mean reordering the navigation entries, just select what is shown first.
for some groups forums are the perfect solution. other groups don't even need a forum, so that they can select the news feed, stream or whatever.
another great thing would be if unused items are not shown in the navigation. means a group doesn't have a forum -> don't show discussions in the sidebar. same with events and media, if groups don't use 'em?
i think you created a really great addon and such a feature would make it even better
