Anonymous Posting [Paid] 3.0.0

PayPal: $30.00
I've been dealing with an issue for about 10 days now, ever since upgrading to XenForo 2.3. While I understand that this problem isn't directly related to the Anonymous post add-on, it occurred during my migration process.

To explain: I set up a fresh XenForo installation and imported my old forum into it. Before doing the import, I disabled all addons on the old forum. As a result, all anonymous posts were imported as if they were made by guests or deleted users. Even after reinstalling and rebuilding the add-on in the new forum, the original attribution for those anonymous messages wasn't restored.

So my question is: would it be possible to add an import/export function—or some other feature—to the anonymous post add-on that could preserve or recover anonymous post history during a forum migration?

FatihIs it necessary to disable all addons before importing? I guess it can cause errors if you don't huh?

john917If you install a fresh XenForo then you import old xenforo to new one. You can lose anonymous posts.

If you don't want this, I recommend to upgrade your live site after you had full back up.

FatihWhat happens if you upgrade with incompatible 2.2 addons? Does it upgrade the core successfully at least?

john917you should disable all addons before upgrade. this is recommended by xenforo developers. after upgraded xenforo, you can update the addons and enable them step by step.

i think it is stopping to upgrade if you don't follow this.

Hi Truonglv, I trust you are doing well.

I enjoy using this addon, but I've recently seen some members misusing the feature by posting all their messages this way.

To help prevent abuse, could you consider adding user group-based usage limits? Being able to set daily, weekly, or monthly limits would offer much-needed control and flexibility.

Once a user reaches their defined limit, the selection button beneath the editor should become inactive, and a small information text—like the example below—should appear next to it to clearly indicate the restriction.

This would improve user experience while keeping the feature balanced and fair.
