duckulaActually. I have seen source about vBulletin 4.2.x but no see difference in database. Hence you can using importer 3.8.* for that as well

Ok, thank you. Last question, if i buy xenforo/your plugin, can i do first the whole import from vb to xenforo, customize the board, and then install you plugin, point it to the old vb-database and do the social group import? Or is it necessary to do it in the first step (xenforo->vb). It would be bad, if i do it the wrong way and have to do a new database import

You must import vb to xenforo first! Otherwise all content mismatch user.
So easy to understand:

Step1: Import vb to XenForo
Step2: Import social groups
