Reorder tabs

I've already had a request to be able to turn off and reorder the tabs and tabbed features. Is there a way to remove some of the tabs or at least reorder them? Our SG mostly use the forum and chat and would like to have those tabs more toward the left of the page so they are viewable on smaller formats like tablets and phone.
