Recovery for auto clean up inactive groups?

How do I recover any groups that were "auto cleaned up" due to the "inactive groups in X days" still be set to anything other than 0?
 
Set to 0 if you want to disable that feature and use batch update groups to recovery with specific conditionals
 
Is there more info on how the batch update group works? I am little confused about what I am supposed to do with it to get those groups recovered.
 
It is similar with batch update users and threads. You find soft delete groups and undelete them.
