[BUG] Question about uploaded videos playing in group newsfeeds, but NOT in regular forums!

I noticed uploaded and attached videos (mp4) in a group newsfeed will produce a playable thumbnail like the XFMG. However, videos uploaded to any regular group or other forum produce just a link. Is this normal? How can I get them to produce playable thumbnails in group or main forums? There must be some little piece of code I am missing. Thanks!

It should be same for all. Do you have permissions to view video in main forums?

Yes, full permissions....it's very strange. When I upload a video, you'll see the embedded content in the post preview, but when you click post, it just becomes a link. But it works as intended in group Newsfeeds. Weird!
