I cache /attachments/* so it doesn't hit the server every time.

This occasionally causes issues as the attachment name is changed and the old file deleted so sometimes a broken image is loaded in the cache for everyone (and with my settings isn't fixed until it expires in a week).

Is there a way to adjust it to only opertmize images a week after they've been uploaded? I only really care about reducing long term storage.

Have I done something wrong?

Here are the settings.


When I look at the logs, it doesn't read the size of the pictures either.
The old size and the new size all seem to be zero.
