Hello there.
On the newest version, when the group has "Ask to join with a brief message." setting selected.
Clicking Join will sent the join application right way no matter the status of that setting.
By the way, minor feature suggestion: Pending Members number could be added on the group menu? Like "Members (3)".
Kill all the bugs!
