[FEATURE] Mobile App permission

Add group permission to use / not use app. If user is not permitted put a friendly user configurable msg on login.

Why wouldn't you want a user to use the app though?

Many many reasons, maybe user should donate or have X posts or have an upgraded account etc.

hmm Maybe, but I personally see it a bigger benefit for all to use. Someone might use the site more just opening the app or tapping a push notice on their lock screen rather then being forced to have to remember to want to view the site, open a browser, go to it, search topics etc. I mean I spend $300 a year to give app access to my two sites to my members, 2 x app licenses @ $100 each + $100 Apple. I didn't include Google in cost as only one time small fee. So of course I want to get the max use I can out of the app for my sites, not limit it.

Hence why the feature ask is for a permission so you can limit it or not as per your preference. Every site has a different business model.

Yes I get that, I just rather see development time spent on new features and functions for all rather then a very small niche that would have use for the function.

I'd be interested to hear how you ascertained that this feature request represents a small niche.
