Implemented Main group page order changes to fast because of views

Social group listing is really crazy on my site, because i have many members and many groups. Every time one of my 240,000 members views a group it goes to the top. This means that the order of my 200 groups is constantly changed. One moment a group is still on the first page and a bit later it is gone to page 2-3. This makes it very hard for my members to find a group.

Please add a setting for group order for the recent activity tab.
  • count views Y/N
  • count new thread/post Y/N
  • count joins Y/N
Actually I just want to turn off views, so that only real activity (new content or new members) are counted.
 
i have many users.
If I look at my groups now then I see 'pets & animals' as the first group. Nothing interesting happened in this group and the last post is from 2016. someone joined the group, but nobody cares.
If this today a lot of users open other groups then pets & animals will not be on the first page anymore. This confuses people.
People care about new content only.

My suggestion is to only sort on last date content was posted.
Ignore if someone visits or joins.
Only sort on last post, last wall post, last media, update information date.
does that make sense?
 
I suggest last group update based upon:
- last forum post
- last media post
- last wall post
- last group edit
