I've quit using the Image Optimizer add-on because of certain issues (lost several images that it "optimized" but did not save in the current (as of when I removed it) version. To top it off, this only really apparently worked for images posted in a forum thread. I use several other add-ons (including XFMG and XFRM) that images could be used and it did not touch them. So I simply decided to use the WebP optimization that is built in, even though I did not really want to as it adds another step for users wanting to use gallery images as a background that does not support WebP.
I'm about to look to another social group offering also.
The response here is extremely slow (which license URL changes are a classic example) and sometimes it appears that the developer does not really comprehend what is being relayed to them.
