Not a Bug 2.5.9.d member permissions in some groups not working?

Hi,
I need your help. Since the update to 2.5.9.d I have users complaining that members of some groups suddenly lost permission to reply in threads. This comes from at least two groups and I have no idea how to fix this. An admin in one of the group promoted all members to admins which helped. On my test account and in a test group everything seems to be working ok. Can you think of a reason for such behavior? I'll be happy to provide additional information.
 
Please give me more details. Such as member state, roles and group privacy settings.
 
Thanks for replying. I am not sure where to look for the information that might be useful for you. So if you need anything more - let me know.
1. I have two member roles - member and admin, user has no additional fields enabled, admin has most of them enabled.
2. the group I know people are having problems with is set to "visible" and "secret"
3. user who sent a message about the problems (stating that it affects all of group members) is set as a member for the group and is properly activated as a registered account on the forum.
 
One more update. I think there's a bug in saving the private settings when editing the group.

1. I'm a member of Administrative user group on the forum and I have all permissions granted (edit group by anyone, bypass all groups permissions etc).
2. Only way to edit the group's privacy settings I found is through the settings icon -> quick edits -> change group
3. On save it complains about language id
4. with language set to polish and changed allow members to post it says it saves properly
5. but... the setting is not saved. Language is, but not the posting permissions.

jansluShould be another thread. It is make some reader confuses when reading it.
