Hi,

I am willing to buy "groups" software from you, but we have some issue that not requirement maybe.. because we using vBulletin 4.2.2 but you only have from 3.8.* importer only ?

  1. This social group importer can handle the migration after forum change to xenforo or between ?
  2. And what menu we have while we doing that ? I mean is it including group's photo ? what else ?
  3. Is it using interface or we can do it in shell using command ?

thanks in advance

Hi @dono

#1. Between. But i recommend to import vBulletin data to XenForo first then import Groups then.
#2. Yep! It have some to do. Categories, Social groups & members, threads
#3. No. Currently the script work very good with small groups and data. BTW. How many groups and related data you have?

The importer can not handle medium - big boards. You need CLI importer for that. @Nobita is creating a big board importer for thiose who have the xenforo big board importer addon.

We're having problems using the importer. It is working, but for some reason erasing a few sections of my main board, reducing my forum post count by 100k.

You mean it delete some posts from your board?!
Nobita
Yeah, for my website we are migrating from vBulletin 4 to xenForo. The import runs fine (Threads 29,645 Posts 201,616 Users 39,241), and everything runs perfectly. But when I install Nobita Groups and import my old forum's groups from VB, node category #1 is completely deleted along with all associated posts, dropping the count to 114k posts and 19k threads.

So the forum content is removed completely and we have to restart the import process.

What is import you do? cLI or regular import?

It could not happen.

I'm not sure, I am using ToDo10, but awaiting further information such as server logs and how they are doing the import. I know that the process has been tried 3 times now, and it is erasing data every time we use the Nobita importer.

I'll send you more info asap, once they respond to me with it.

Getting really antsy, since the users are getting annoyed that we have been offline for so long now trying to figure this out.
