So each group must give an location?
truonglvThats right.
Each group will have a location (we will pin the location on map)
And each category will have a central map that will show all the groups that have location on that map in that category.

And there will be one general map on index page of groups (nobita.me/groups) that will show all the groups from all categories on the map.

A great feature to compete even more with IPS group.

Yes, same as IPS clubs.

Here is how it could work:
  1. Admincp category setting: 'Allow Location'
  2. Admincp category setting: 'Require Location'
  3. Admincp category setting: 'Display Google MAP'
  4. Admincp category setting: MAP position:
    1. show map in group tab
    2. show map in group sidebar
  5. Admincp Nobita Options: maximum markers
  6. Admincp Nobita Options: marker clustering Y/N
  7. Admincp Nobita Options: display MAP on group home Y/N
  8. Group setting: location field. (fill in address or pin location)
  9. Group sidebar block: map
  10. Group category map
And there will be one general map on index page of groups (nobita.me/groups) that will show all the groups from all categories on the map.
DadparvarThis needs to be optional. We only have location groups in 1 category.

alfa1Indeed... optional per group please.

Or optional per category. And in ACP category you could set a checkmark for "Group requires location" meaning that you can force group creators to select a location in certain categories.

With the settings above it can be set per group (just dont fill in a location) and per category. I added 'require location' to the list.

I wonder why group need an location? Cannot find any reason for that

Cannot find any reason for that
truonglvSocial Groups ----> Building Communities for
  • Social Activities Groups (working with disabled persons or elderly people)
  • Chapters of an Corporate Organization (where is the local chapter HQ?)
  • Sports Activities Groups (Outdoor Hiking, Skateboarding, Motorcycling)
  • Workers Union Groups (Local Chapters)
  • Local Studies Group (Let Students assemble at the group base)
  • Anonymous Anything (Self-Help Groups for Alcoholism, Anti-Smoking, Abuse etc)
  • etc

truonglvone another example. In my site, these entities are creating/will create groups:
  • law firms (for insiders)
  • legal educational institute (to keep their clients updated with plans, and announce their events)
  • legal teams (to manage their meetups specially using the event system)
  • legal organizations (to announce their events, seminars, confrences, etc...)
all these entities have official locations. So are also region based. So location will be must-have.
