Question Are discussions visible if groups are private?

All group discussions are in the same forum node. So do these all have the same permissions?
What is the difference between discussions that belong to private/closed groups and discussions that belong to open groups?
Can non-members see the discussions of closed groups?
Can non-members see the discussion content of closed groups?

Group Privacy: Public, Closed và Secret. Each privacy option has its own settings.

• Public Group:
  • Anyone can see the group
  • Anyone can see contents in the group
  • Shown in the group list
• Closed Group:
  • Anyone can see the group
  • Only members can see contents in the group
  • Shown in the group list
• Secret Group:
  • Only members and authorized users (set in User Group Permissions) can see the group and its content
  • Only authorized users (set in User Group Permissions) can create Secret Groups

I can confirm this

For me it makes no sense to have a Group with following Settings

• Closed Group + Everybody can join

If everybody can join, then it is the same like "Public Group"

So a closed Group should by Default have "Ask to join" and there should be not the Option everybody can join
