Thank you for checking his issue out but 2.3.4 doesn't fix the sidebar layout.
As long as you have your own CSS rules overriding the default ones there will be issues. I have fixed my issues with a few template modifications and now the sidebar looks like the rest of the site with the themes I have tested.
 
I have the same "problem" as @jOOc . Please let the Group Sidebar use the default Sidebar CSS Classes which then will work with most custom themes. If not it needs extensive CSS overrides to get back to the original Sidebar CSS Classes.
 
@Nobita could you do that with the next upgrade? It should be obligatory that add-ons orient themselves on the XF default style classes. With everything else I second your opinion that it should not be your job to provide support, but please don't make too much use of proprietary css code...
